"...incentives for hourly workers include $933.6 million in bonuses that the retailer is handing out Thursday. There is another $788.8 million in profit sharing and 401(k) contributions, and hundreds of millions of dollars in merchandise discounts and contributions to the employees' stock purchase plan."Only union thugs could name something that takes away the rights of employees the Employee Free Choice Act.
This insidious act requires the National Labor Relations Board to certify a union after a mere 51% of the employees have been coerced into signing union cards without further elections. Then the company would be forced into finding arbitration lasting 2 years for any unsettled employee disagreements. That along with stiffer penalties for unfair labor practices committed by employers but not unions should pretty much guarantee the failing labor unions a revitalized strong hold on employers. In other words unions would be Free to harass the holdouts since they know who has not signed up.
I hope Wal-Mart's employees can see this union shake down for what it is.
I'm Just Saying - sometimes Free isn't!
